Catapodium marinum   Sea-fern Grass C DD N

Catapodium marinum

This stiff little grass is easily missed but if you look in stony places on the tops of walls, you can find some excellent examples. It's old name: Desmazeria marina is still to be found in some floras.

It is rarely found inland but is common on the coasts of England, Wales, Ireland and southern Scotland.
