Carex binervis Green-ribbed Sedge CC DD N
This is a fairly common sedge of grassy moors and coasts. It is quite a tall sedge which can grow to more than 1m high, standing out above any short cropped turf. It is found throughout the British Isles but less frequently in the drier English midlands and East Anglia. It is very common in "wetter" countries: Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
