Campanula latifolia Giant Bellflower C DD N
This specimen, growing in a hedge in limestone country of North Wales, was well over 1 metre tall and without heart shaped lower and irregularly toothed leaves was not like the Campanula trachelium (Nettle-leaved Bellflower) plants which I have seen in the past and with which it can be confused.
It is recorded from much of England, east Wales, and most of Scotland bar the far north west but only a small amount is present in the north east of Ireland.
