Buxus sempervirens Box
This is one of those shrubs which can easily be overlooked on wooded hillsides such as those in the Pyrenees. Once I noticed that Box was present I kept seeing new plants of quite a significant size but which blended in well with the rest of the vegetation..
As well as being found in lowland Britain, Buxus sempervirens is found in the southern Alps, the southern Pyrenees and the Apennines up to heights of 5,000 feet in Europe.
