A common plant of the seaside on dunes or in cliffs. It is usually yellow but as the LHS photo shows, it can be orange and red as well. These plants are without patent hairs on the stems and so are ssp vulneraria.

Anthyllis vulneraria ssp vulneraria is found around all the coast of the British isles including the outer islands and it is found inland on low ground throughout much of Britain and Ireland.
