Anemone baldensis Monte Baldo Anemone
Lower trifoliate leaves, hairiness and slightly bluish or pinkish tinges on the outer side of the petals distinguish this low growing white flowered anemone from other similar species. It is named after Mount Baldo which is an Alpine mountain the the west of the Dolomites near Lake Garda but is also found in the Pyrenees. Synonyms include Pulsatilla baldensis, Anemone fragifera and Anemone alpina.
