Anchusa azurea Garden Anchusa I
Introduced from Southern Europe, this garden escape sometimes establishes itself comfortably in the wild. This plant has been found in the Pensarn beach area for decades now and appears to be increasing in numbers. It is a much taller plant than the native A. arvensis (Bugloss)and with striking blue flowers.
There is not much established in the wild but in southern England it is dotted here and there. There isn't much to be found in Scotland or Wales and none in Ireland.
