Alchemilla alpina Alpine Lady's-mantle C DD N
Although this is strictly an upland plant, where it does grow it is often found in large numbers. On Ben Lawers for instance it is found near the Visitor's centre and then everywhere right up to the summit of the mountain at 3,996 feet. It is quite distinct from the other native Alchemilla species having palmate leaves and a silver underside to the leaf.
This plant is found throughout Scotland on the high ground and in the Lake district but isn't found at all in Snowdonia and only very occasionally south in the Pennines. There are very few records from Ireland.
