Agrostis stolonifera Creeping Bent CCC DD N
Species in the Agrostis genus can be difficult to identify with confidence but this one is usually a bit straggly, often has some which grows sideways and nearly always reveal obvious runners (stolons). It is otherwise quite similar to A. capillaris to my eyes and flowers at a time of year when there are many other grasses around to confuse the issue.
It is one of the commonest grasses in the British Isles and is found virtually everywhere from St Kilda to the Scillies.
