Acacia pulchella   Prickly Moses Endemic

Acacia pulchella whole Acacia pulchella leaves Acacia pulchella close

This is one of quite a few Acacia species known as Prickly Moses in English and it really is quite prickly. The flowers are small in comparison with the thorns which stick out beyond the leaves. At present there are five wild varieties of this plant recognised and the leaves vary in appearance which is not uncommon in Acacia. Acacia pulchella can be as tall as 3 metres and is found throughout the south west corner of Western Australia along the coastal plain and inland.
