Veronica longifolia Garden Speedwell C DD I
This introduction from central Europe escapes onto verges and banks from gardens where it is a popular herbaceous plant. The mint-like leaves and tall flower spike reminiscent of a Veronica spicata (Spiked Speedwell) on steroids are the diagnostic features.
It is mostly found around the London area and in the north west of England with just a few outposts elsewhere.
