Lagurus ovatus   Hare's-tail C D I

Lagurus ovatus

This is always a nice grass to find down in the South of England but on Guernsey it is all over the place. It grows all over the common where we found it and on the grassy areas by the sea round the island. It is  an introduction from Southern Europe.

This introduction is not common but can be found dotted all over England. It is only very occasionally recorded from Wales, Scotland or Ireland.
