Gentiana pneumonanthe Marsh Gentian R DD N
We last saw these flowers at this time of year some seven years ago so it was a relief to find them still there in a vast field of Purple Moor grass along with very little else of botanical interest.
G. pneumonanthe is found in the north of England, Lincolnshire, east Anglia, Anglesey and in The New Forest area of southern England but there are few other sites. It is not found in Scotland or Ireland.
