Galium odoratum Galium odoratum

This a plant of mid spring to be found in woodland or shady places with neutral or basic soils. It is usually no more than 30 cm tall usually less, mostly hairless and has between 6 and 9 leaves per whorl.

G. odoratum is common in England, Wales except for some odd patches around Cambridgeshire and in the far north of Scotland. It is also quite common in Ireland.
