Chenopodium ficifolium   Fig-leaved Goosefoot C DD N

Chenopodium ficifolium

In this rare bit of arable land in Guernsey, we noted how even the weeds were somehow better quality than the ones we were used to seeing back home in the North West of England. We had come to find the rare Chenopodium murale and were lucky enough to find this plant growing nearby.

C. ficifolium is mostly found in central and southern England and is not common in the west. It is rarely found in Scotland and confined to a few southerly sites in Ireland.
