Aquilegia einseleana Einsel's Columbine Domolomitic Endemic
Named after physician Bari Einsele by F.W. Schulz, this straight spurred Columbine usually has dark blue to violet flowers without protruding anthers. It is known only from the south eastern Italian Alps so is said to be endemic to the Dolomites. It typically grows in stony ground at heights of up to 6,000 feet.
